GenComm Completing Radicom Merger
The February, 2021 acquisition of Radicom, based in McHenry, IL, by GenComm, united two leaders in the sale and service of public safety, in-building wireless, and two-way radio systems. After nearly two years of working together, the merger of Radicom and GenComm into one company will be completed on December 31, 2022. Although the Radicom company name will change to GenComm, customers can count on receiving continued expertise, knowledgeable workmanship, and responsive attention.
In speaking about this new chapter, Greg Vlack, owner and president of GenComm, said, “We will be able to share our resources and talent across the entire range of one company. This merger will help improve our efficiency and ability to better serve existing and new customers alike.”
Radicom has provided radio solutions and dispatch systems for nearly 60 years. When the company was acquired by GenComm, the employees immediately became valued members of the GenComm family. The merger acknowledges GenComm’s great respect for Radicom and recognizes the excellent opportunities that can be afforded to the combined entity’s customers and employees.
For many years, the companies complemented each other in sales territories and in services. After the merger, GenComm will have Wisconsin locations in Madison, Milwaukee, Eau Claire, and Wisconsin Rapids, in addition to their new location in McHenry, IL.
GenComm will continue to exceed expectations as a merged full-service communication supplier. We look forward to future growth and invite you to contact us to ask questions and learn more.
