I wanted to send you a quick note regarding your team’s service over the past year. I have had some odd installation jobs that needed to be taken care of and your team has been great. They have gone above and beyond to make sure the installations met the requirements. Dave has taken the extra time to explain details when necessary and in general been great to work with. In the future when I call with a job, I always know GenComm will make it happen.
We have really been struggling with the social distancing part of the COVID-19 situation. Because we have to have minimum staffing levels & our consoles cannot be moved to separate people we initially thought about deploying some staff to the TBFD Backup Site. The health department did not feel this was a good option due to the added exposure of being in the same space as EMS responders. But thanks to technology & the assistance of Rock County IT, GenComm & Rock County Highway we have created a temporary alternate dispatch site at the Rock County Highway Shop on Newville Road (across from the SO). It will be operational tomorrow (4/9) starting at 3pm. We will have about 1/3 of our staff assigned to this location until further notice. Many thanks to Duane Jorgenson, Rock County Public Works Director, for allowing us to use their brand new conference room and thanks to Rock County IT & GenComm for their quick work on this project!
Neeskara Elementary School
I wish to praise the service representative, I believe his name is John, who came to Neeskara Elementary at MPS earlier this week to help us with our numerous failing walkie-talkies. We are very reliant upon them particularly in instances of students wandering and at dismissal, at one point we had five of them out of service, unable to charge them. John came promptly as promised, solved our problems and provided information when asked. He deserves an A+ in my view, thank you so much for sending him.
City of Eau Claire
GenComm has helped us tremendously, we can ask what would work best in a certain application and they know. They know the products that they sell so it has saved time and money for us. It has been great working with them. Anytime we call they’re very willing to help and if they don’t know they will find us answers. The team at GenComm has also helped to work through issues with the police department and other departments here in the City of Eau Claire to find the best solution for our needs. We will always highly recommend them and already do. We have nothing but good things to say about them and their work.
Siren Police Department
We purchased various items from GenComm such as; Soundoff Signal Light Bars, Kenwood Radios, In-Squad Computers, Whelen Lights, Push Bumpers, Cages, Graphics and Full Squad Installs. GenComm has retro-fitted existing equipment for us, as well as new installs, repairs, vehicle graphics and new communication technology. They gave us “a small department” very competitive options and great service. GenComm treated us like family and made sure our install was top notch. Our first experience was wonderful. They were all very kind from the sales, installers, to management. At each step they made us feel comfortable and made sure we where getting the service we deserved. We have continued to use their services from simple trouble shooting to full new installs and service has been great. When issues arise, they are always swift to getting the issues fixed and done right. We would definitely recommend GenComm and its services. When talking with other departments and hearing/seeing some install issues they have had, I always bring them up. They’re a great group of people and offer great services.
Burnett County Highway Department
We have worked with Marlyn Wahl and the Service Dept. at GenComm (Eau Claire Location) for the last 7 years. We couldn’t be happier with the switch. The Burnett County Highway Dept. purchases everything associated with two-way radios from GenComm. GenComm has saved us from overpaying for equipment, service and installation. They sell great equipment, along with excellent service and installation. We will absolutely continue to recommend them to others.
Altoona Police Department
We have worked with GenComm and the Eau Claire shop for various projects such as Squad Set-Up, Emergency Lighting, Radios, Transport Cages, and several other related items. Over the past few years GenComm has been our primary squad up-fitter and maintenance provider. We also use GenComm (Aaron Jennman) to update our office radio system. Their staff is very helpful and knowledgeable with the products that they sell. Dalton is always available for questions related to equipment and is always available for any repairs that need immediate attention. The quality of the installation and overall squad setup is far superior to other vendors we have used. We will continue to work with GenComm and highly recommend them to others.
