Greg Vlack has been an integral part of GenComm since its inception, with his roots in the family business stretching back to 1981. Raised in an entrepreneurial environment, Greg gained hands-on experience in all facets of the business, from maintenance and delivery to retail sales and equipment service. Originally a family-run TV, Radio, and Stereo business, Greg helped transition the company into what it is today: a leading provider of public safety communication systems.
Greg’s passion for the industry lies in the impact his work has on public safety and service. For Greg, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing GenComm’s systems in action, knowing his team plays a role in making essential services safer and more efficient.
Outside of his dedication to GenComm, Greg enjoys time with his family, relaxing at their cabin, and working on his collection of muscle cars – all serving to keep him energized and in great spirits.

Jenni Vlack has been a part of GenComm for most of her professional life, following in the footsteps of her wonderful in-laws who founded the company. Alongside her husband, GenComm President & CEO, Greg Vlack, Jenni is passionate about preserving and growing their family legacy.
Jenni loves working with GenComm’s amazing team, fostering a family atmosphere while providing essential services to communities across the Midwest. Outside of work, Jenni is an avid reader, enjoys crafts, and treasures time with her family at home or at their cabin.

With more than four decades of experience in two-way radio communications, Gary Pelletier is a seasoned expert in the design and implementation of large-scale public safety communication systems. He joined GenComm after five years of active duty as a Ground Radio Communications Technician in the Air Force. Gary’s early passion for radios, sparked in high school with his ham radio license, led him to pursue a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In addition to his professional duties with GenComm, Gary’s parallel service in the Wisconsin Air National Guard, where he eventually served as Director of J6 on the Joint Staff, underscores his expertise in planning statewide communication systems for critical domestic operations.
For Gary, problem-solving and helping customers address complex communication needs are the most rewarding parts of his role in the organization. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time traveling, boating, and engaging in a variety of sports.

Jeff Farquhar brings more than 35 years of experience in accounting and finance to the GenComm team. A certified CPA, Jeff’s career includes seven years with Ernst & Young, specializing in taxation, followed by a 23-year tenure at Wick Buildings, where he held various roles, including CFO and President. At GenComm, Jeff has found the ideal setting to focus on his passion for finance within a company rooted in family values and poised for exciting growth. His expertise has been instrumental in navigating the financial complexities that come with expansion, ensuring the company’s continued stability and success.
Known for his analytical approach, Jeff excels in data-driven decision-making and strategic financial planning. His commitment to developing systems and processes has brought greater productivity and precision to GenComm’s operations, setting a solid foundation for future growth.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoys an active lifestyle, often found walking, hiking, biking, or cheering on the Brewers at tailgates. A dedicated sports fan, he holds season tickets for Badger football and basketball and heads to Arizona each March for spring training. Jeff also finds joy in baking, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Before joining GenComm, Mark Stanmeyer spent more than 25 years with the Milwaukee Police Department, retiring as a Captain in 2017. His extensive career in law enforcement gave him a wide range of experiences, including assignments in Internal Affairs, the Motorcycle Unit, and the Intelligence Fusion Center, among others.
Mark’s passion for serving the community and fostering teamwork in challenging environments naturally led to his role at GenComm, where he continues to support the public safety sector by offering communication and emergency vehicle products that he came to rely on during his time on the force.
At GenComm, Mark is dedicated to fostering a culture rooted in the company’s Core Values: Integrity, Partnerships, Reliability, Expertise, and Safety. He is passionate about leading a team that combines long-time employees with new talent, all working together to provide top-tier solutions for customers. In his spare time, Mark enjoys traveling the world with his family, creating new memories and experiences together.

Nate Fuller began his career journey early, working in his family’s dairy equipment business from the age of five until he turned 18. After attending UW Platteville for two years, Nate found his way into mobile electronics, working as a salesman and installer at Circuit City in Madison, WI, until 2001. Following that, he spent five years as Assistant Sales Manager at AMS before being recruited by GenComm’s GM, John Luxton.
With a long-standing interest in mobile electronics, Nate has flourished at GenComm. As Installation Manager, he is most passionate about developing the skills of installation technicians and salespeople, finding fulfillment in helping others grow into experts in their fields. Outside of work, Nate enjoys spending his free time fishing and catching up with friends and family.

With a strong mechanical background and a passion for cars, Dalton Johnson began his career in the car audio and remote start industry. There he honed his skills as both an installer and operations manager. His journey to GenComm started with a conversation with Nate Fuller, the company’s Installation Manager. Dalton has since played a key role in the growth of the company’s Eau Claire location.
Dalton’s passion for quality work and meticulous attention to detail, especially when it comes to wiring, is what drives him. He takes pride in creating custom vehicle builds that not only meet, but exceed customer expectations. Dalton enjoys the family-like atmosphere at GenComm, where everyone shares a dedication to the company’s growth and success.
Living in Eau Claire offers Dalton the perfect balance between city convenience and country living. In his spare time, Dalton can often be found drag racing or enjoying outdoor activities with his family. Whether it’s racing, hunting, or fishing with his 6-year-old son, Bentley, Dalton’s love for adventure and family time is evident both at work and in his personal life.

Before joining GenComm, Marlyn Wahl dedicated 20 years to the Monticello Fire Department, retiring as fire chief in 2009. His background also includes years of experience driving trucks. Marlyn’s connection to GenComm began during his time as a firefighter, when his department purchased equipment from the company. His firsthand experience with the products led to an opportunity to join GenComm as a salesperson, where he found his passion for working face-to-face with customers and traveling throughout the state.
Marlyn takes pride in the growth of the company over the past two decades, playing an active role in expanding and improving the Wisconsin Rapids location. He enjoys building strong customer relationships and is proud of his contributions to the company’s success. In his free time, Marlyn and his wife enjoy camping, UTV riding, and attending car shows.

Joel Barthel brings more than 30 years of experience in EMS and leadership to the GenComm team. Joel’s career began as a paramedic, where he quickly advanced to roles such as paramedic supervisor and flight medic for Lifeline of OSF Saint Anthony’s Health Center. His commitment to public service and passion for teaching in life support training courses has been central to his career. Joel also brings valuable business experience from owning and operating companies in real estate, graphics, and the outdoors industries.
Joel is thankful his work at GenComm affords him the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community. He enjoys working alongside a knowledgeable team and embraces the challenges that each day brings. A lifelong resident of northern Illinois, Joel is proud to call Huntley his home, where he enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and running, and spending time with his family. Through his years of service at GenComm, Jeremy Krantz has gained a wide range of experience, from programming radios and performing vehicle installs to setting up complex public safety communication systems. With a deep technical background, Jeremy has worked on everything from early crystal radios to modern multisite systems, playing a key role in the installation of GenComm’s NexWave, a twelve-site digital Kenwood radio system.
Jeremy’s passion for his work shines through in his dedication to supporting both his colleagues and customers. For him, one of the most rewarding aspects of his professional journey is being part of a cohesive team that works well together, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

With more than 40 years in two-way radio communications, John Tramburg has proven to be a key member of the GenComm team. John holds an Associate Degree from the Wisconsin School of Electronics in Madison and obtained his FCC License in 1984, further solidifying his expertise in the industry. Over the years, he has installed and maintained numerous county and city radio systems, bringing reliable communication solutions to both public safety and commercial clients.
John brings a focus on service excellence and customer trust to every project he touches. Known for his dedication to building strong client relationships, he enjoys working closely with customers and colleagues to provide the best in communication solutions. His approach emphasizes reliability and integrity, values that have shaped his long-standing career.
Outside of work, John enjoys spending time at his lake home with family and friends, and especially cheering on his grandsons in their sports and activities. He also finds quiet satisfaction in yardwork and home improvement projects.

Additionally, Jennifer can utilize her past experience as a firefighter to provide expert insights and solutions for customers.
What Jennifer enjoys most about her role is the strong relationships she builds with customers, many of whom have become friends over the years. Rick Krasnowski has been a trusted member of the GenComm team for more than 35 years, joining the company out of a longstanding respect for the Vlack family and the business they’ve built. His early work experience involved collaborating with his grandfather, a financial advisor, where he learned the importance of integrity and client relationships. Drawn to GenComm’s commitment to supporting public safety and the local business community, Rick saw a chance to make a meaningful impact and joined the team—an opportunity he values to this day.
Over the years, Rick has been motivated by the relationships he’s built with colleagues and customers alike, working hard to provide solutions that meet their unique communication needs. Known for his reliability and dedication, he finds great satisfaction in helping GenComm’s clients stay connected and safe, no matter the challenge.

Scott’s passion for communications and electronics, particularly within the public safety sector, makes him a natural fit at GenComm. Scott values the strong relationships he’s built with both his coworkers and customers, takes great pride in solving the complex challenges, and maintains a deep understanding of radio and infrastructure equipment – all of which enables him to design and build custom solutions for his clients.
In his spare time, Scott enjoys life as a hobby farmer and musician, allowing him to care for animals, grow crops and still indulge in his musical pursuits as a pianist and organist. He feels especially fortunate to play the piano at home and also play the world’s largest theatre pipe organ (owned by his family), located just minutes from his house.

Ron Sampson began his career in the communications field in 1992. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and a minor in Business and Electronics from UW-Platteville, Ron brings both technical expertise and business acumen to his role. His journey started with Evans Communications, a company that later merged with GenComm, and since then, he has thrived in an industry that combines his love for technology with his passion for helping businesses improve productivity and connectivity.
For Ron, each day brings a new experience, whether it’s meeting with clients across different industries, understanding their unique needs, or tailoring solutions that enhance their operations. Ron values the teamwork within GenComm, working closely with the admin, sales, technical service, and installation teams to deliver seamless communication solutions.
Outside of work, Ron enjoys an active lifestyle, participating in weightlifting, yoga, and cycling classes, where he finds both camaraderie and motivation. Justin Anderson brings a wealth of experience to his role thanks to his background in law enforcement, public safety, and amateur radio. Justin has served as a police officer, and just prior to joining the GenComm family, he worked in field operations for the Public Safety Department at Children’s Hospital Wisconsin. With a long history of working with GenComm equipment, Justin is a natural fit with the company, where he focuses on schools, healthcare, hospitality, and other business accounts.
Outside of work, Justin enjoys the Milwaukee area’s balance of urban life and natural beauty. In his spare time, he can be found riding his bicycle through Milwaukee County’s parks or spending quality time with his family. A self-proclaimed “nerd,” Justin loves classic TV shows like Star Trek and Star Gate, smoking meat and DIY home projects.
