Law enforcement officers bravely put their lives on the line every day to protect their communities. GenComm is proud to support the work of these individuals with our vehicle upfitting services, designed to enhance the safety, efficiency, and situational awareness of emergency response vehicles. While our solutions often focus on wireless communication, we are pleased to also offer equipment such as video surveillance systems, sirens, antennas, and lights—like the new GoLight SL from SoundOff Signal.

Designed to work in tune with officer operations, the GoLight SL is a high-powered, remote-controlled spotlight that reduces sightline interruption. With a 270-degree rotation and a 75-degree tilt, the GoLight SL is tucked into the driver’s blind spot area, preventing accidental aim at the driver.

In keeping with tradition, the GoLight SL installs on the A-pillar of a vehicle through a structurally non-invasive mount for both the driver and passenger sides. Using a bracket mounted to the outside of the A-pillar eliminates install difficulties frequently caused by hard metals or narrow A-pillars.

The GoLight SL has an easy-to-use remote control that is capable of operating both right-hand and left-hand spotlights with a simple shuttle dial. The remote also includes a programmable “ready” button and command “stow” button.

Additional features include:

  • UV-ray resistance and weatherproofing, with operating temperatures from -40°F to +149°F
  • Eight high flux LEDs
  • 5-year optical warranty, 3-year mechanical warranty
  • Amperage draw of 3.3 amps for light + 0.9 amps for pan/tilt motors @ 12.8 Vdc

The system can operate as a standalone spotlight, or in conjunction with SoundOff Signal’s bluePRINT® control system. Through bluePRINT®, additional elements can be unlocked, such as flash control, preset waypoints for certain functions, and built-in functions for sweeping patterns.

Currently available exclusively to law enforcement, the GoLight SL can be mounted to the Ford Police Interceptor Utility (PIU) and the Chevrolet Tahoe and Silverado, with brackets for the Ford F150 and the Dodge Durango expected to be released soon.
